Stake Paint Activity

Just a quick reminder of the Stake Paint Activity on 8/23 @ 2:00pm

We'll be at 552 East 11400 South at the park behind the church.

Come for fun involving Paint and wear white or a light colors if you want the paint to show!

Stake Valentine's Activity

We're having a combined Stake Valentine's Party with the Riverton Stake from 7-10 pm at the Larry H. Miller SLCC Campus Professional Developmental Center (9750 S 300 W Sandy, 84070). There will be J Dawgs, games, dancing & more! If you're interested in participating in the lip sync contest please Contact Amber or Johnny. Don't miss out!

Combined Ward Activity

Tonight we're having a combined Ward Activity with Crescent Park Ward. It will be at 7:00 at the Alta building.
We're serving a full Thanksgiving dinner and holding a service auction. Our objective is to raise money for a family in need. All money raised will be contributed toward that family’s Christmas.
You can help in two ways: 1) Submit an item or an act of service for auction and/or 2) Participate in the service auction by purchasing items offered by others.
These acts of service could range from anything from washing someone’s car to giving a free pottery lesson. If you can’t think of an act of service you can also offer an item. This could be a scrumptious baked good or that brand new pair of PF Flyers you’ve never worn. The options are endless! Please post here if you have an item you would like to auction. You do not need to be present to sell an item. If you're planning to buy an item tonight it would be best to bring cash or checks. Thank you!!!

Stake Halloween Party

Come to the Stake Halloween Party tonight, 7pm at the Alta Church Building!

Halloween Activity

Tonight is the night everyone! Come to Classic Fun Center in Sandy (9151 S 255 W) for an awesome Halloween activity. The activity will be from 10pm to Midnight. Rollerskate rentals will be free, if you would like rollerblades please bring $3. Come enjoy a night of skating, games, and treats with the Ward! Bring your friends too! Costumes are optional.

 

Luau + Ropes Course

Don't forget about all the fun activities going on this weekend! INSTITUTE LUAU tomorrow night and ROPES COURSE Saturday! If any of you still have't contacted Amber Orosco about attending Saturday, please do so! Remember, you can bring friends to both activities!

Ropes Course Preview

Here's a preview for Saturday's Ward Activity at CLAS Ropes Course.  On Sunday we passed around a sign-up sheet during EQ/RS. If you weren't able to sign up but you plan on coming will you please post on facebook? (Also please indicate if you're bringing a friend.) Thanks!

Next Weekend

Keep next weekend open, it's going to be a FUN one! Institute luau on Friday and ropes course on Saturday!

Service: St. Vincent Soup Kitchen

Also, tomorrow we will be having a service activity at the St. Vincent Soup Kitchen 4:30-6:30pm! Meet at the church to carpool downtown at 3:45 or meet us down there, the address is 437 W 200 S.

COME TONIGHT!

Busy Saturday

We have a lot going on this Saturday... temple in the morning & boondocks later that evening.

Meet us at the Draper Temple on Saturday morning for an 8am session. Those with limited use recommends are also encouraged to do baptisms at that same time.

We will then meet back up at 5:30pm for a BBQ at Brother Rowley's house. Boondocks will be from 7-10pm. Use this time to invite those you home teach, visit teach, or those who are less active to join us Saturday night!

Elders Quorum Activity

Who: Crescent View YSA Elders Quorum

What: Elders Quorum Activity - Xbox LAN party

When: Saturday July 13th, 2013 @ 7:00 pm

Where: TBD

Why: Because we can and there will be pizza!

We have arranged for an awesome 4x4x4x4 Halo 4 LAN party with four Xbox's, four projectors, a big 'ol networking switch, and lots of fun 4 all guys! And we'll have pizza and drinks as an added incentive (not that it's needed).

Family History Library

Tomorrow night (Thursday, May 30th) We have the opportunity to visit the family history library again! We will be going downtown to start collecting names for the stake millennial temple day (June 11th). Meet at the Alta church building at 6:30pm to carpool downtown or meet us there (35 N. West Temple) at 7pm.

Flower Planting

We need everyone in the ward to help out tomorrow morning! Meet at the Alta church building at 7:15am for breakfast or meet us at 8am at Temple Square. Please dress for the weather and in accordance to church standards. This is a special opportunity, so be sure to take advantage of it.

Family History Library

We have the opportunity to visit the family history library Thursday night (May 23rd)! We will be going downtown to start collecting names for the stake millennial temple day (June 11th). Meet at the Alta church building at 6:30pm to carpool downtown or meet us there (35 N. West Temple) at 7pm. We need you so please try to make it and definitely invite some friends!

If this Thursday doesn't work for you, we will be going again next Thursday (May 30th), so pencil it in now.

A Few Reminders

Double Decade Dance

Tomorrow night is the Double Decade Institute Dance! 7-10pm at the sandy institute (9501 S. Poppy Ln).
